Shoulder Bridge, Advanced Level Pilates : Pilates on the Small Ball



An advanced level Pilates exercise used to strengthen the muscles in the buttocks, backs of legs and lower back, as well as to improve balance.

Exercise Visualisation:
Imagine trying to balance on a tightrope whilst moving one leg up and down.

Exercise Watch Points:
Stay balanced on the ball as the leg moves up and down. Use the buttock muscles and core abdominals. Head, neck and shoulders to stayed relaxed. Leave the foot relaxed if you find your toes cramp with a pointed foot.
