Fri-yay

Hey pals! I’m glad numerous of you liked the search of my Sheet Pan Asian Salmon with Veggies – give it a shot this weekend and allow me know how it goes! So easy, rapidly, and yummy!

It has been a reeeeeally busy week in excess of here – I’m satisfied it is Friday! No workout nowadays – I was in need of a day off and a extended night’s rest after burning the candle at both ends a bit this week. I practically went to bed at 8:45 last night and fell asleep right away – it was amazing.

It’s no wonder I was tired because I had a really amazing and speedy track exercise yesterday morning!

We had a shorter and more rapidly day on the agenda. After warming up, we started out with a 1600 (one mile) at threshold tempo, then (right after a couple minutes rest) an 800 at threshold pace. Then we moved into 400’s (one lap) – challenging and quick with a quick 1-2 minute recovery in amongst. We did four of them and I was proud I did a really great task with pacing – it’s challenging not to begin also quickly and tank (each throughout the lap, but also more than the series of the four laps too). I received 1 2nd faster for every single of them and then five seconds more rapidly for the final a single. Yay! The observe above just consists of the workout – not my warm up jog and awesome down jog.

Thanks to the warm weather I was in the mood for a smoothie when I got house from the track so I whipped up a variation on my Banana Spinach Smoothie (&lt—recipe).

I followed the recipe (except I employed almond milk and extra Kura vanilla protein powder), and also extra half an avocado for some healthful unwanted fat. Avocado in smoothies is so good – try out it! Tends to make it really creamy and you can’t taste it.

I’d forgotten how very good smoothies are – hadn’t had one in a little even though! If you really like smoothies, here are a couple of of my other favorites to attempt:

As for dinner last night, Matt whipped up a fast meal for me and his mom, who is in town for the second half of a two portion DC-based workshop and staying with us for the weekend. On the menu: salads + a easy pasta with marinara sauce! The sauce had green pepper, and onion and some ground turkey in it. And the pasta was black bean pasta, which was a fun way to combine it up!
