Pilates Abdominals with Leg Twist

This is a great Pilates exercise for the abdominals and core.

Place the ball between the thighs, slightly squeezing the ball, spine imprinted (flat) with flexed upper back from the mat and put your hands behind your head. Keep ribs stable and create a 'windscreen wiper' movement with the legs. Inhale to prepare, exhale for the leg movement. Aim for 6-10 repetitions.

Part of your fitness plan should include buying some flattering workout clothes. There is nothing more demoralizing than wearing a pair of old, ugly sweatpants. By having exciting workout apparel, you will gain motivation for exercising.

Prevent yourself from falling into a rut caused by completing the same routine on a daily basis. If you become bored or you don't see the exercise as being fun any more, then you will be more prone to quit. If you keep switching things up, you will not get bored as easily. Try new routines or switch up your music. If you keep your eyes open you should be able to find interesting ways to liven up your workout.

Rewarding yourself on your journey is a great way to stay motivated. You are not required to wait until you have reached your final goal to celebrate your accomplishments. Pick small rewards when you meet your goals. Small things, such as a portion of an appetizing dessert or a new piece of clothing are great incentives. Make your reward a reasonable one. Remember, it's important to stay motivated as your fitness is on the line!

Exercising is typically seen as boring and difficult, but this is a misconception! There are plenty of ways to make it enjoyable. Use these tips in order to add fun into your exercise routine.
