Hey close friends! I have some very essential information: I have discovered that my Flour Cost-free Breakfast Pancake, when microwaved in a large, shallow bowl, is just about best. Microwaving it in a typical bowl leaves it a bit dry, but I do not always have time to make it on the stove. Dilemma solved – shallow broad bowl it is! Significantly closer to the stovetop model. :)
I know, this is some critical difficult hitting news. You’re welcome.
In other important foods news, I’ve been throwing collectively some of my signature salad bowls for lunch this week. One had chickpeas, leftover roasted potatoes, avocado, greens, and some broccoli slaw, all topped with homemade vinaigrette (red wine vinegar + dijon mustard + lemon juice + hemp oil).
And the other a single had 90 second plain brown rice, canned lentils, greens, sauerkraut, broccoli slaw for crunch, avocado, and once again the same vinaigrette combo.
Each variations have been tasty and truly fast to throw together. What are your favored power salad bowl combinations as of late? You can see all of my formal salad recipes more than on the salad part of my recipe web page!
On the dinner front, Matt and I had a fancy a single on Tuesday for Valentine’s Day!
We made the decision to treat ourselves to dinner at Restaurant Nora in Dupont. It’s an all-natural restaurant and the meals is delightful, despite the fact that it’s truly pricey so going there is always a significant treat. :)
They had a set menu for Valentine’s Day and we chose from possibilities for every single course. I had the:
- Roasted Butternut Squash with Burrata Cheese and Black Truffle Vinaigrette (I forgot to consider a photograph of this, but it was a really thin slice of butternut and the truffle vinaigrette was outstanding!)
- Maine Lobster Bisque with Caviar Crème Fraiche
- Sustainable Smoked Salmon Tartare & Its Caviar
- Cumin-Crusted Rack of Lamb with Truffled Harissa Sauce, Chickpea Puree, Green Beans, Carrots, and Kale
- Fuji Apple Cake (Matt had the Gluten Totally free Carrot Cake which I also ate some of)
The lighting was dim so the photos are not excellent but you get the notion. :)
Every thing was delightful! I especially loved the lamb – actually flavorful. We also had the wine pairings which was an additional charge (but a better deal than just getting glasses of wine), though the waiters stored forgetting to carry our pairings till we reminded them. (Lame because this place is so high-priced you feel they’d have it together support-wise for the price…!)
We had a fantastic night – we really don't usually go out to dinner just the two of us (unless we’re traveling) these days since we cook at property so typically, so it was truly fun to have a date night out. :)
I’m operating from house nowadays – tons of calls on the agenda so I’d much better get to it. Have a wonderful day guys! And for my Winter Shape Up pals, really don't neglect to check out in day-to-day on the week 3 meal plan page and the week three exercise web page to enter into the sponsor giveaways. :)
